Bearcats in the Bay Summer Residency Program
The “Bearcats in the Bay” Summer Residency is a professional development program offered by the Center for Entrepreneurship that allows both undergraduate and graduate students to spend the summer living and working in the San Francisco Bay Area. Applications are now open!
The program is designed to support student cooperative education at leading technology companies and startups, or support alternative co-op experiences (i.e. students working on their own startups) while immersing them in one of the world’s most influential innovation hubs. Through the program, participants will live in an Airbnb (Bearcat Hacker house) over the summer and will be expected to meet with UC alumni in the area. This program only covers free lodging: students will be expected to support themselves beyond the lodging provided.
Applicants are expected to show proof of a summer San Francisco based co-op already lined up and/or documentation that they are working on their own startup for this opportunity. Top candidates will be interviewed and expected to have a plan in place for how they optimize their summer should they be selected.
Application Deadline: April 3, 2026
