Hiring & Student Engagement
Connect with business-ready talent through Lindner’s cooperative education tradition.
Lindner students gain meaningful, real-world experiences before they graduate through the University of Cincinnati’s top ranked cooperative education (co-op) model. This hands-on experience makes our students ready to deliver and contribute to your organization from day one.
Looking to hire students for co-op or full-time roles? Aiming to build visibility on campus? Explore options below or contact Associate Director of Employer Relations Lorna Rose.
Co-op Guidelines: What Employers Need to Know
Lindner’s co-op program blends academic learning with paid professional experiences. To ensure high-quality and meaningful placements, all co-ops must meet the following standards:
- Full-time co-ops must be at least 350 hours for the semester in which the student is completing the co-op experience; part-time co-ops must be at least 175 hours.
- All co-op experiences must provide guaranteed compensation that meets state and federal wage requirements.
- The nature of the work performed by the student must be related to their business studies.
Recruiting Policies: Please review our recruiting policies to ensure your opportunities align with Linder’s requirements.

Employer Branding Table
Meet students where they are: Build visibility and connect with students in high-traffic spaces.
Conveniently located near the Starbucks inside the Lindner College of Business, our employer branding tables allows you to represent your company and interact with business students to increase your company's brand awareness, share opportunities, collect resumes, network, and more.
Tabling is a complimentary offering to our employer partners and available any day that classes are in session.
Email Lorna Rose to request a tabling session at Lindner.
On-Campus Interviews
Streamline your recruiting experience.
Simplify access and increase turnout by conducting your interviews right on campus, in the Lindner Career Services Suite. Employer partners can reserve up to nine rooms between 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. to interview Lindner students for co-ops and early career positions.
To get started, request an interview schedule in Handshake. Our Program Coordinator, Holly Woods, will confirm your request and assist with any scheduling logistics or questions you might have.
More Hiring and Student Engagement Opportunities
Connect through campus events and high-impact touchpoints.
Lindner offers multiple ways for employers to increase visibility and engage with students:
Connect with a broad pool of UC talent at the university’s largest recruiting event each fall and spring semester. The Lindner College of Business teams up with the College of Cooperative Education and Professional Studies to host a three-day career fair for business, IT and engineering students.
Check the UC Career Fairs page for dates. Registration will be available in Handshake. Contact Suzanne Schindler with any questions.
In addition to the Career Fair geared toward business, engineering and IT students, Lindner hosts several “boutique” fairs that target specific industries and majors. These fairs include:
- Insurance and Risk Management Career Fair
- Fall and Spring Sales Expo
- Real Estate Career Fair and Info Night
- OBAIS Career Night (Operations, Business Analytics, and Information Systems)
- Meet the Firms and Industry Night (Accounting and Finance)
Check the UC Career Fairs page for dates and contact information for each fair. Registration will be available in Handshake.
Turn your business challenges into learning opportunities. By partnering with our faculty for classroom engagements, you can collaborate on projects that benefit your organization while helping students apply their skills in real time.
Faculty also welcome guest speakers who can inspire students and share valuable professional insights while allowing guest speakers to make early connections with emerging talent.
Submit your interest through our Classroom Engagement Request form and we’ll route it to the right faculty member.
Through touchpoint sessions, employers provide students with an inside look at their organization, culture, and career opportunities in a more focused setting than a tabling event or career fair.
Touchpoint sessions are reserved for strategic partners and coordinated by Lindner Career Services. Interested in becoming a strategic partner? Contact Lorna Rose to learn more.
Partner with student organizations for talks, skill workshops, case events, and networking nights to deepen your brand presence and recruiting pool. By connecting with students who are interested in your industry, you can build authentic relationships, showcase your company's culture, and identify high-potential candidates early on.
Browse Lindner student organizations to identify the right groups for your company and contact Lorna Rose to be connected.
