Private Capital Accelerator

The Private Capital Accelerator was established to equip students for careers in investment banking, private equity and related fields.

Inspired by momentum from the Lindner Investment Banking Club, the cohort-based accelerator combines rigorous technical training with mentorship, experiential learning and industry engagement to help students prepare for highly competitive co-op and full-time opportunities.

Why Private Capital?

Private capital professionals help organizations grow by evaluating businesses, structuring investments and advising on complex financial transactions. The field appeals to students who enjoy analytical thinking, financial modeling, strategic decision-making and solving complex business challenges.

Recruiting for investment banking, private equity and related private capital roles moves quickly, with many co-op and full-time positions filled 14 to 16 months in advance. Early preparation gives students the technical skills, professional experience and industry connections needed to compete for these opportunities.

Rather than learning finance concepts in isolation, students apply them in settings that mirror investment banking and private equity. Following their first year in the accelerator and a summer co-op, students return for intensive interview training to prepare for junior-year co-op recruiting.

The classroom-based analytical preparation combined with firsthand access to finance professionals creates a holistic understanding that will leave students uniquely prepared for their co-ops and careers.
