Operations Excellence Graduate Certificate
Operational excellence drives efficiency, quality, and competitive advantage. This certificate provides practical expertise in the tools and strategies needed to manage processes, reduce costs, and improve performance within, and across, organizations.
Designed for professionals seeking stronger operations skills — whether coming from business, engineering, healthcare, design, or other fields — this certificate prepares individuals for new or expanded managerial responsibilities.
Offered through the Department of Operations, Business Analytics and Information Systems, the program was developed with input from partnerships with regional employers to address current business needs. Graduates are equipped to design, manage, and optimize the processes and systems that businesses rely upon.
The certificate in operations excellence can be completed in one calendar year and requires 12 credit hours. These credit hours include a core course in operations management and then a flexible choice of 10 credit hours of advanced electives. The 12 credits earned in the operations excellence certificate can be used to satisfy the elective requirements of a Lindner MBA or another master's degree program in the Lindner College of Business.
