Why study Data Analytics?

Analytics is one of the fastest growing fields in business. Businesses are increasingly leveraging sophisticated analytics to shape their competitive strategies and outperform the competition.

The Data Analytics graduate certificate prepares individuals to develop logical data models, construct data warehouses, build visually effective data displays and use sophisticated analytical techniques to glean valuable insights.

Graduates can apply their data analytics expertise in roles related to data analysis, business intelligence, reporting and visualization, and data-driven decision making across industries such as technology, finance, healthcare, and consulting, including opportunities within analytics teams, business intelligence units, and strategic planning functions.

The information provided is sourced from a third party, Lightcast. Their product, called Career Coach, combines extensive labor market data from Lightcast and the U.S.Bureau of Labor Statistics. It provides insights on industry, occupation, compensation, and projected growth for each profession. Economic and workforce information is available for various geographic regions. Some careers may require additional training or education.

Certificates are granted to those who satisfactorily complete the required course work, carrying a minimum GPA of 3.0 or more. Certificates must be completed within five years of acceptance into the program. All students must contract for graduation. 

Certificate programs are not eligible for transfer students as students must complete the entire certificate program in residence. 

 

Graduate certificates are designed to be completed on a part-time basis and are not available to international applicants who require full-time status. International students can complete graduate certificates as part of a graduate degree program.
