Joseph Waller
Executive Adjunct Professor
A retired PwC tax partner, Joseph brings 37+ years of leadership in domestic and international taxation, compliance, and planning for corporations, flow-through entities, and high-net-worth individuals, and he served for many years as PwC’s University of Cincinnati Relationship Partner.
He earned an MBA and B.S. in Accounting from the University of Utah, is a licensed CPA in Utah and Ohio, and is a member of the American Accounting Association and the AICPA. Joseph is also active in community leadership, including recognition as a Silver Beaver Award recipient (Dan Beard Council) and many years as a volunteer USA Swimming National Championship–certified official.
His teaching philosophy emphasizes engagement, clarity, and practical application — connecting technical rules to business decisions through cases, storytelling, and discussion. Approachable and mentoring-minded, he enjoys talking with students about career pathways in business and accounting.
