The Center supports service to the national, state, and local communities through volunteer service to the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award Program and the Ohio Partnership for Excellence.
Dr. Evans has served as an Examiner, Senior Examiner, and Alumni Examiner for the Baldrige National Quality Program from 1994 through 2000. In 2005, he was appointed by the U.S. Secretary of Commerce as a Baldrige Judge for a 3-year term. He has also served as a Senior Examiner and Examiner Trainer for the Ohio Partnership for Excellence from 1999 through 2002; a judge for the U.S. Army Communities of Excellence Award in 2002, and a judge for the GCCC Small Business Awards in 2001. He also served as a Trustee for the Ohio Award for Excellence in 2002-2004 and a judge in 2006.
