Real Estate Academics - Undergraduate

Flexible and multi-disciplinary, the undergraduate program in real estate combines a core curriculum covering the functional areas of business (accounting, finance, information systems, management, marketing, and quantitative analysis) with specialized coursework in real estate. Students also are exposed to other disciplines which impact the field of real estate, i.e. construction, geography, planning, civil engineering. These elective courses are offered by four of UC's other colleges, many of which boast nationally ranked departments: Applied Science; Arts & Sciences; Design, Architecture, Art & Planning; and Engineering.

Students who declare the real estate major must select at least one of the following options: enroll in the cooperative education program or declare a second major. Acceptable second majors include all those offered in the College of Business. This new requirement is intended to increase the marketability of graduates and to encourage participation in the cooperative education program. Undergraduate students can also enroll in the Mentor Program.
