The college will review for possible award of credit toward the degree (that is; transfer credit, or advanced standing) any previous course work, earned at a regionally-accredited college or university, which is presented on an official transcript. In general, advanced standing credit will be awarded only for those courses in which a grade of C- or better was earned. For exceptions to this policy, see the College of Business Rules for Undergraduate Students available in 105 Lindner Hall. The college fully recognizes the Advanced Placement Program of the College Entrance Examination Board. Transfer credit for business core courses and business electives will typically only be granted for courses earned at colleges accredited by the American Assembly of Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).
Acceptance of transfer credits toward the total required for graduation will include determination of their equivalency to course work in the business degree programs. Some courses, while counting in transfer as elective credits, may not be equated with required courses having similar titles. Frequently, the total number of hours transferred will be limited by the number of elective hours available in the degree programs. The appropriate award of transfer credit may vary with a transfer student's choice of concentration and may be altered should a student change concentrations within the college.
