Admission is generally for the Autumn quarter, due to our course schedule. In some cases, however, admission for other quarters is possible, depending on your background and needs, especially in terms of MSQA Prerequisite Requirements.
For admission to begin the program in the Autumn quarter, you should complete your application by September 15 of that same calendar year. [As soon as feasible, we will be migrating to application submission deadline of August 15. This means that you should try to submit your application as soon as possible. If you need extra time, please contact the program director.] In addition, for priority consideration for financial aid starting in the Autumn quarter, applications should be completed by the preceding March 1; we will still consider financial-aid requests made later than March 1.
All of the following items must be received by the Graduate Programs Office in the College of Business prior to your application file being evaluated for an admission decision:
- MSQA Application Form [PDF] (print, fill out, and send in hardcopy form).
- This form includes space for indication of interest in being considered for financial aid.
- It is essential that you clearly indicate on this form a working, reliable e-mail address that you check regularly, since this will be our primary way of communicating with you during the application and admissions process.
- $40.00 application fee. Make checks payable to 'University of Cincinnati'.
- Your resume, which should include description of your prior degrees and any relevant work experience.
- Official report of your GMAT or GRE scores (should be no more than five years old). For information on the GMAT, see www.mba.com; for information on the GRE, see www.gre.org. The University of Cincinnati's institution code is 1833, and the degree code for "Business - Other" is 4399.
- Official transcripts for all undergraduate and any prior graduate work.
- For international applicants, official report of your TOEFL score. For information on the TOEFL, see www.toefl.org. The University of Cincinnati's institution code is 1833, and the degree code for "College of Business - Other Masters" is 83C-BN-79. We require a TOEFL score of at least 250 (computer-based) or 600 (paper-based) or 100 (internet-based).
- Two or more letters of reference.
- University of Cincinnati Graduate School Application (UC online application must be completed in addition to the hardcopy MSQA Application Form [PDF]).
Send all information (other than the online UC Graduate School Application) to:
Graduate Programs Office - MSQA Program College of Business, 606 Lindner Hall University of Cincinnati PO Box 210020 Cincinnati, OH 45221-0020, USA E-mail: graduate@uc.edu Phone: (513) 556-7020 Fax: (513) 558-7006
Please do not send any application materials to the Program Director ... doing so will only slow down the process.
Once all of these items have been received, your file will be sent to the Program Director and an admission decision will be made in consultation with the QAOM Department faculty. Once an admission decision has been made, the file is returned to the Graduate Programs Office, whose staff will send you an official letter with the decision.
For international applicants, additional information (e.g., help with visa issues) may be obtained from the International Student Services Office.
