Life After College: Marketing Masters Students Continue to Grow
Professionally
For many students, the pursuit of a graduate degree brings
the hope of a brighter future and the opportunity to grow and advance in their
career. For recent graduates of UC's
Master of Science in Marketing program, these dreams are becoming
realities. Many MS-Marketing students
are developing their careers in Advertising, Market Research and many other
Marketing-related fields.
- Divya Kaur, a 2007 graduate, is currently working as a project analyst with Nielsen Analytic Consulting Division of The Nielsen Company.
- Laura Parks (class of 2006) is a Knowledge and Research Consultant with Wachovia Bank in Charlotte, North Carolina
- Dennis Devlin (class of 2006) is a Senior Director of Account Management with GfK Custom Research North America in Cincinnati
- Rachel Knighton (class of 2007) currently works at Procter and Gamble in
the Consumer-Market Knowledge area.
- After
graduating from the MS-Marketing program in 2006, Luke
Nycz has founded his own consulting firm called
Marketing Managers To Go, based in Oxford
Ohio. In his latest venture, Luke assists in
"facilitating the flow of ideas, primarily across the Atlantic. Our work is based on the belief that ‘the
future is here, it's just not widely distributed yet.'” Marketing Managers To Go uses technology
to help distribute this future, and is currently involved in a number of
projects, including taking a "seamless mobility" technology from
the US to Poland, bringing interactive, live TV from Hungary to the US,
and importing pneumatic tools from China
to Ukraine.
- Another
2006 graduate, Nate Carney has returned to Cincinnati
from Seattle
to join Bridge Worldwide, one of the industry's leading relationship
marketing agencies. At Bridge, Nate
works with a variety of clients on offline and online
relationship-building campaigns, including work on websites, email
newsletters, banner advertising, and other strategic initiatives.
- 2007
graduate Ashley Pino currently works for MatchPoint in Pittsburgh, a branding agency
specializing in retailing and targeted consumer promotions.
- Jordan Michel, a 2006 graduate and recipient of
the Outstanding MS-marketing Student award, recently received his
Professional Research Certification from the MRA, and is working for
e-Rewards in Dallas
as a project manager. Jordan's next big move is to pursue a degree in
Environmental Law, where he can expand his knowledge beyond marketing to
become more deeply involved with his true passion for the environment.

Adrianne Triplett (2007) is working for Zipatoni (part of the Interpublic
Group) in St. Louis, MO as an Insight Strategist with the Account
Planning department.

Kelly Green (2007) is Director of Development for Mercy Health Partners, Cincinnati. Patty
Tomley (2007) also works for Mercy Health Partners as Marketing Director,
Outpatient, Therapy and HealthPlex.

Joanna Schilling (2007) is an Analyst for Analytic Partners, a progressive
Market Research firm located in Downtown Cincinnati.

Amber Bouts (2007) is an Account Executive for HyperDrive Interactive, a full
service marketing firm located in Cincinnati.
Staying Connected
Current students and graduates of the MS-Marketing program continue to build their network of professional contacts through their own group on www.linkedin.com, allowing them to remain
in contact and build lasting relationships with each other.

With the help of an active Placement Office, graduates from the College of Business have opportunities to find positions in many companies, both in the Cincinnati-area as well as nationally and globally.
