MS-Accounting Business Core Courses

Business Core Courses

Each prospective MS Accounting degree candidate must demonstrate academic background equivalent to that of an undergraduate business degree at an accredited institution. A candidate without a business degree desiring to earn the MS Accounting degree must complete or satisfy the following core courses (or their equivalent) listed below prior to conferral of the degree:

  • Microeconomics (4 quarter credits)
  • Organizations (4 quarter credits)
  • Finance (2 quarter credits)
  • Marketing (4 quarter credits)
  • Statistics and decision models (4 quarter credits)

Candidates holding a bachelor's or graduate degree in business administration may waive any or all of these courses.

Candidates without a business degree may enroll in equivalent MBA courses and use them as free elective courses).
