Application Requirements
In order to be considered for admission to the MS in Accounting Program, the following materials must be submitted:
- Application for admission;
- Non-refundable $40 application fee;
- Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) scores (our ETS code is 1833);
- Test of English as Foreign Language (TOEFL) score (International students only);
- Two letters of recommendation;
- Official transcripts of all undergraduate and graduate course work;
- Current resume;
- Essay responses to the following questions. (The Admissions Office would like to stress the importance of the information you provide in response to these questions. Your responses are carefully evaluated and are an important part of the admission review process. Please take time to formulate your responses thoughtfully.)
Question #1: Describe a challenging assignment or task you successfully completed. Include details about the difficulties you encountered, as well as the steps you took to successfully complete the activity.
Question #2: What are your career aspirations and how will an MS Accounting degree from the University of Cincinnati help you accomplish them?

The MS in Accounting will be administered by a Program Director who will be available to answer questions regarding program requirements, to assist students in planning their programs of study, to provide assistance in selecting advanced-level courses, and to answer questions concerning career opportunities in Accounting.
Students in the MS in Accounting Program will be subject to the same General Academic Policies as the MBA Program and other MS Programs in the College of Business.
International Students
International students whose native language is not English must provide a score on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). A minimum score of 600 on the paper-based test, 250 on the computer-based test, or 100 on the Internet-based test is necessary to be considered for admission into the MS Accounting Program. Scores should be sent directly to the University from the Educational Testing Service (ETS).
Application Deadlines
Students can begin taking classes in the MS in Accounting Program in either Autumn Quarter or Spring Quarter. The application deadlines for each quarter are as follows:
- Autumn Quarter - June 1
- Spring Quarter - January 1
