Lindner Honors-PLUS Co-op/Intern Program

When do students co-op/intern?

Students entering the program as freshmen begin their first work assignment as interns during the summer following their freshman year. This is followed by an alternate quarter co-op placement, beginning at the end of the sophomore year. Students entering in an odd numbered September are on a summer/winter work rotation. Students entering in an even numbered September are on a spring/autumn work rotation.

How does the placement process work?

Each fall, participating companies are asked to identify how many internship/co-op positions they would like and in what areas (i.e. Marketing, Finance). In addition, the company must provide a brief job description detailing the first work period, and a brief development plan outlining future work assignments. Students learn about the placement opportunities and go though interview training in the fall. Interviews take place in February. Following the interviews, companies and students provide us with their preferences and placements are finalized.
