Carl H. Lindner Honors-PLUS Program

Lindner Honors-PLUS is an educational experience at the College of Business designed for highly motivated individuals with superior academic ability and demonstrated leadership skills. The programs goal is to graduate successful business professionals with the potential to become future business leaders.

A business honors curriculum is integrated with work-related experiences intended to educate student leaders and to retain them in Cincinnati after graduation. Preference is given to students from Greater Cincinnati. This demanding program brings together the resources of the College of Business, the University Honors Scholar Program, and Cincinnati's businesses in an educational process designed to provide graduates with the background necessary for immediate productive employment and to position them for advancement as business and community leaders.

All students admitted to the Lindner Honors-PLUS Program will receive merit scholarships sufficient to cover all (in-state) academic and general fees. The 2004-2005 merit award will be sufficient to cover full in-state tuition and fees, renewable for 12 quarters of academic study. If the student is eligible for a Cincinnatus, the student will receive the combined award for the Freshman year. In subsequent years, Lindner Honors-PLUS will supplement the Cincinnatus award to bring the student's scholarship award sufficient to cover full in-state tuition and fees.

Selection decisions are based on both (Honors) criteria: e.g., test scores, grade point average, class ranking, and (PLUS) criteria: Promise as a business professional; Leadership in school and community activities; Understanding of the global marketplace and diverse cultures; Success through talent, commitment, dedication, and effort. Lindner Honors-PLUS seeks to attract students whose academic measures place them in the top 10% nationally, whose extracurricular activities indicate excellent leadership potential, and who are motivated to become business and community leaders.
