The Goering Center also attempts to address issues faced by the professional advisor community in dealing with family businesses, as well as, deal with issues faced by key non-family members employed by family businesses.

Half-Day Educational Forums
Led by a national expert, Goering Center Educational Forums will speak to the specific concerns of family businesses such as estate planning and weal transfer, strategic planning, family councils, effective family communications, and other key success factors.
Executive Foundtables
A roundtable is a group of 9-10 Goering Center members who meet, on average, 10 times per year to share business, family and personal experiences in an atmosphere of confidentiality, trust and openness. Specially trained moderators guide discussions and the group functions as a personal board of advisors who spark ideas and guide better decisions.
Community Partnerships
Partnering with area Chambers and professional associations offering learning opportunities to association members in the areas of Succession Planning, Wealth Transfer, and Communications.
Students in the College of Business at the University of Cincinnati can declare an integral concentration in the area of family business with course offerings grounding the students in the very unique issues facing family firms. An Internship program is also under development where students will be able to gain first hand experience working in family businesses during alternate quarters of their undergraduate years.
