The Department of Finance contributes to UC's strong undergraduate and graduate programs.
Undergraduate
At the Undergraduate level, the department supports three concentrations. First, the Finance Focus prepares students to work in the broad areas of financial institutions and markets, investments, and corporate finance. Second, the Real Estate Integral fosters cross-functional learning and an entrepreneurial spirit by blending courses from varied business disciplines with specialized coursework in real estate. Third, the International Business Integral includes courses on global finance, management, and marketing.
Graduate
At the Graduate level, finance faculty supports MBA , MS , and Ph.D. programs. The MBA program includes vital core courses in financial analysis and management as well as the opportunity to concentrate in finance by taking advanced finance elective classes. The Finance PhD program is dedicated to developing tomorrow's scholars via doctoral seminars, graduate coursework, independent studies, and formal and informal faculty and peer interaction.
The new Master of Science in Finance (MS-Finance) program is designed to train investment professionals. The program is an intensive one-year program whose coursework encompasses the academic knowledge required of a Chartered Financial Analyst®.
