Introduction:
C-bay is a unique auction site that has a dual purpose. The primary purpose is to raise money to support the activities of the Goering Center for Family and Private Business. The secondary purpose is to promote the sponsors and member firms of the Goering Center that have donated products and services to be auctioned off on this site.
About the Goering Center:
The Goering Center is a non-profit, 501c3 organization that is also part of the College of Business at the University of Cincinnati . The Center was formed in 1989. It's mission is to provide world class education and information to family and private firms in the Tri-State region, with the specific goal of improving the successful transition of these firms from generation to generation.
The Center obtains its support from membership dues, an endowment made possible by John and Gloria Goering, professional service firm sponsorships, program fees, and donations and gifts (this site representing one such source). The University provides space and some overhead coverage, but in effect the Center is self supporting. It is estimated that the Center has provided information and education to hundreds of firms and thousands of individuals over the past 16 years. More importantly, countless companies have benefited from these programs and materials and been able to develop successful succession plans that have saved companies and the jobs that they represent.

The site was officially launched on October 17, 2005. We invite you to peruse the listings and hopefully make a bid, as they represent a very broad cross-section of products and services from both local family and private businesses, and from professional service organizations that support family and private business in our area. We invite you to learn more about the companies represented by using the links provided next to their donated item.
