It combines a core curriculum covering the functional areas of business (accounting, economics, finance, information systems, marketing, and operations management) with specialized coursework in real estate. Exposures to other disciplines impacting the field of real estate include construction, geography, planning, and civil engineering.
With invaluable input from alumni and industry advisors, the real estate curriculum is constantly evolving to keep pace with a changing world. In addition to functional exposure to real estate, the program also emphasizes writing, negotiation, oral communication, analytical problem solving, and computer skills.
Opportunities of this program are numerous and vary greatly. Positions include brokerage and leasing, property management, urban planning and administration, corporate real estate management, land development and construction, real estate financing, appraisal, investment analysis, asset management, consulting, market research, and feasibility analysis.
