The degree of Bachelor of Business Administration or the degree of Bachelor of Science in Industrial Management is granted to those students who complete satisfactorily the required work for the specified degree. Upon achieving junior-level status, a student must complete all remaining courses within four years or the student becomes subject to the degree requirements of the then current program. This time limit will be extended by one quarter for every professional practice quarter completed as a junior or senior.
To qualify for a degree, a student must meet the following additional requirements:
- The student must achieve university and college cumulative college grade point averages of 2.0 or better.
- The student must maintain a grade point average of 2.0 or better in all courses required for his/her concentrations beyond the college's core requirements.
- The student must have no grade of NG, F, or UW in any specifically required course unless such course has been repeated or passed. All “Incompletes” in specifically required courses must be completed by the time of graduation.
- Courses must be taken in residence at the college immediately preceding graduation for a period of one year in the case of a full time program student, and for a period of two years in the case of a Professional Practice Program student.
- A student must complete 59% of the required business credit hours for the degree in the UC College of Business.
- Accounting students must complete 12 of 15 hours in each accounting concentration through the College of Business Accounting courses.
- Professional Practice Program students must have a satisfactory work record and must complete all scheduled work sections.
- Students nearing completion of their degree requirements must file, several months before graduation, a formal application for degree in the college office. If a student fails to make this application, the university will not be responsible for the student's graduation.
