Professor and Director of Industrial Management

Amitabh S. Raturi, PhDProf. Raturi's research interests are in the area of manufacturing planning and scheduling and operations strategy. His work experience includes engineering and purchasing. He has published over 30 papers in Journal of Operations Management, Decision Sciences, Sloan Management Review, Journal of Production and Operations management Society, IIE Transactions,European Journal of Operations Research, International Journal of Production Research, Omega, Journal of Operations Research Society, Interfaces and others. He has co-authored a book, Principles of Operations Management. He is also the author and architect of Pathways for Continuous Improvement, an intensive workshop for small manufacturing firms developed and offered at the Navy Centers for Excellence by the Institute of Advanced Manufacturing Sciences and the Department of the Navy. Prof. Raturi has consulted with over 30 manufacturing firms in areas such as lean manufacturing, operations strategy and ERP implementation.
