Student Ambassadors

The College of Business Student Ambassador Program is comprised of a select group of students chosen through an application and interview process. These students value service to the college, university, and community, as well as scholastic achievement. They demonstrate their dedication to these qualities through their studies and by serving as ambassadors for the College of Business. They represent the college at numerous collegiate functions, professional events and key promotional events.

At the beginning of winter quarter, letters and applications are sent to all freshmen students with at least a 3.0 GPA. The application forms are also sent to student groups on campus in order to attract campus and College of Business leaders.

Ambassadors serve for one year. Students have the opportunity to continue each year, as long as the requirements and expectations of the program are met.

In order to meet the requirements of the program, Ambassadors must:

  • Attend the bi-weekly group meetings (currently held on Wednesday evenings at 6:00 pm)
  • Volunteer for at least 2 of the Ambassador events per quarter
  • Represent the College of Business and the Ambassador group in a professional and friendly manner when they are serving as volunteers at College of Business events
  • Participate in the annual membership drive and in recruiting future Ambassadors
  • Participate in events sponsored by the group FOR the group, such as professional speakers, social events etc.

Ambassadors gain:

  • Experience with interacting with business professionals
  • Networking opportunities and exposure to area professionals and College of Business donors, faculty and staff, and students
  • Improved interpersonal skills from these interactions
  • Immediate opportunities to make an impact within the Ambassadors group & the College of Business.
