Steve Hater, a former president of Hater Industries, a foundry and machine manufacturing company, has demonstrated top and bottom line growth through strategic sales and operational initiatives.
Steve Hater has more than 34 years of experience in all facets of management, entirely in privately held, family-owned businesses, as well as 12 years' experience as a CEO facilitator and numerous years' experience with boards of directors and advisors. He began his business career with Hater Industries, Inc., in 1974. Hater started as a plant assistant and worked every management position in the company, finally serving as president from 1999 to 2008. He was also a member of Hater Industries' Board of Directors for 25 years.
Hater has also served on boards of directors or advisors for other family-owned businesses: Caterers of Tampa, Associated Outdoor Clubs, the Trison Company, Fischer Special Manufacturing Company and Levin Associates. In 2004, Hater founded Hater Enterprises, through which he provides coaching and consulting for upper-level company executives.
Hater has been a member of Chief Executive Boards International since 1996. He now serves as the local board representative for the Dayton, Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky Boards, as well as a national board representative.
