Michael J. Fry, PhDMichael J. Fry is Associate Professor of Operations Management. Dr. Fry earned his M.S.E. and Ph.D. in Industrial and Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor; he is a summa cum laude graduate of Texas A&M University.

Dr. Fry's research focuses on applying operations management and quantitative analysis to such areas as supply chain management, public policy operations and sports. His work has appeared in the journals Operations Research, Manufacturing and Service Operations Management, Naval Research Logistics, Transportation Science, Interfaces and others. His research has been mentioned in the popular press in such publications as The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, BusinessWeek and The Business Courier.

Dr. Fry serves as the Educational Chairperson for the Greater Cincinnati Chapter of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals, and he is an active member in INFORMS and the Production and Operations Management Society. Dr. Fry is a founding member and Vice-Chair of Publications for the INFORMS Section OR in SpORts. He is an editorial board member for the Journal of Quantitative Analysis in Sports and Decision Sciences Journal.

Dr. Fry is on professional leave from the University of Cincinnati for the 2008-09 academic year to serve as Visiting Associate Professor in The Johnson School at Cornell University.
