John Glascock is the West Shell Professor of Real Estate Finance and Director of UC's Real Estate Center.
John is active with industry professional groups and serves as an Academic Scholar for NAIOP and ULI. John is also recognized as a Research Fellow by Homer Hoyt Institute. He has worked with the National Association of Realtors (including SIOR) and state chapters in Louisiana and Virgina, and with EPRA and IPD in the UK. John served as Secretary-Treasurer of American Real Estate and Urban Economic Association for three terms. He also served as President of the Southwest Finance Association.
John has advised various government entities, including Ohio Student Loan Commission; Ohio Consumer's Counsel; HM Treasury (UK); Mayor's Offices in Washington, DC; Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Columbus, Ohio. John has also worked with the Governor's Office in Louisiana and advises the Shenzhen Real Estate Research Institute in China.
Prior to joining the University of Cincinnati, John was the Grosvenor Professor of Real Estate Finance at Cambridge University (UK) and prior to that the Oliver T. Carr, Jr. Professor of Real Estate a George Washington University (DC). John also served as the Louisiana Real Estate Commission Endowed Chair at LSU. John has taught or has given seminars at major universities, including Tsinghua University, University of California Berkeley, University of Wisconsin, and Oxford University. John has also been visiting faculty at INSEAD (France), NUS (Singapore), Yuan Ze (Taiwain), European Business School (Germany), Hanken (Finland) and City University (Hong Kong).
John is active in academic and professional research and has his work published and cited in the primary Real Estate, Finance and Management journals. |
