Dr. Ricketts is an Associate Professor of Accounting, and Director of the Carl H. Lindner Honors-PLUS Business Program in the College of Business Administration. She graduated in 1979 with a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Louisville. She then worked as an auditor with Peat Marwick (KPMG) before returning in 1981 to work on her MBA at the University of Cincinnati. After completing her MBA she entered the PhD program at UC, obtaining her PhD in accounting in 1986. She was appointed Assistant Professor of Accounting in 1985 at the University of Cincinnati. She has also taught at the University of Dayton, and as a visiting professor at University of Arizona.

Her research has been primarily in the auditing area, looking at the effectiveness of the auditing process, and how contextual variables affect auditor accuracy. She has published her research findings in Auditing: A Journal of Practice and Theory, in Internal Auditing, and in the CPA Journal. |

Dr. Ricketts teaches primarily in the financial reporting area and in the area of accounting ethics and regulation. |
