Dr. Russ has had a distinguished career at two institutions, the University of North Carolina and the University of Cincinnati. At UNC he was a chaired professor, a department head, and a director of the doctoral program. At UC he has been a department head, dean, and chair of the Council of Deans. From 2004 to 2007 he was Senior Vice Provost for Program Development and Budgeting. An author of three books and a consultant on marketing research and strategy, he was on the founding boards of two public companies. He is currently on the boards of Charles & Colvard (CTHR), Kendle International (KNDL), and the Economics Center for Education and Research. He is the university's NCAA Faculty Athletics Representative.
