UC Real Estate Center Partners for International Conference

• The UC Real Estate Center at the College of Business partnered with Tsinghua University to present a conference highlighting Real Estate Investing by Insurance Companies. Dr. John Glascock, West Shell Professor of Real Estate at UC, was among a myriad of presenters from organizations worldwide.

On October 30, 2009, University of Cincinnati West Shell Professor, Dr. John Glascock, served as co-host of the first Tsinghua University and University of Cincinnati Real Estate Center Conference, which was held in Beijing, China. Focusing on Real Estate Investing by Insurance Companies, this event was the first venture for the University of Cincinnati and Tsinghua University; marking a continuing relationship between the UC Real Estate Center and Tsinghua University's School of Economics and Management.
Along with UC's Dr. Glascock, Professor Hong Wang of Tsinghua University also hosted the event. Co-organizers included the Chinese Research Center for Insurance and Risk Management, Tsinghua University; the Department of Finance, School of Economics and Management, Tsinghua University; and The University of Cincinnati Real Estate Center, College of Business, University of Cincinnati.

In addition to presentations by Professors Glascock and Wang, faculty members and business professionals from a variety of institutions addressed conference attendees. Other presenters included John Howe, University of Missouri; Liqun Zhou, PICC Asset Management; Charles Lam, Pramerica Real Estate, Hong Kong; and Kostas Koufopoulas, University of Warwick
