On Tuesday, January 23, a group of 19 CoB undergraduate students participating in a three-week International Business program in Chile, met with representatives of Procter and Gamble in Santiago. Álvaro Bórquez, Human Resources, gave our students a presentation on the benefits of working for P&G in Chile and the quality of life they could expect in the capital. At the conclusion of his presentation, Álvaro discussed opportunities P&G offers in Chile and invited our students to consider working there. Actually, one student in the group, Max Bauer-Nilsen, a Carl H. Lindner Honors-PLUS senior, is a P&G recruit. Max has co-oped with P&G and now works for them in Cincinnati while he completes his degree. Mauricio Elias and Ximena Catalán then presented information on the local market along with some of the lessons P&G has learned about product introduction in Chile. All in all, it was an outstanding presentation for our group and we appreciate Álvaro and his colleagues taking the time to meet with us. We owe a great vote of thanks to Kirk Perry, Vice President, North American Baby Care, for initiating the contact for us in Santiago.
