The Cincinnati Business Achievement Awards, with lead support by American Financial Group, is just around the corner, Monday, March 6, 2006. This will be an event to remember! CoB Centennial Update
UC has entered into its 100th year of business education, and the college is definitely celebrating. Thanks to our centennial partners, we welcome fresh additions to Carl H. Lindner Hall, including a new lobby design and flat screen monitors throughout the building. Monitors will showcase the college's history, students, alumni, partners and programs, while communicating timely CoB, UC and partner information. New student lab facilities, part of the SAP Enterprise Systems Initiative, will open in fall 2006.

Distance Learning - Podcasting Reaches CoB
Economic Center - “The Stock Market Game” offers elementary through high school students the opportunity to invest a mock $100,000 with winners receiving financial incentives.

Center for Entrepreneurship Education & Research - The 2006 UC Spirit of Enterprise MBA Business Plan Competition will be held February 23rd and 24th. Student teams from across North America will pitch their plans to an esteemed panel of judges, as they vie for cash prizes totaling $20,000.

APICS Scholarships Awarded to Three CoB Students
Operations Management and Industrial Management students, Sarah Harvey, Kevin Rampe, and Jim Kostura, received scholarships from the APICS. Harvey received the Carl Stein Award, worth $2,000. Both Kostura and Rampe received the $1,000 APICS Scholarships.
CoB Student is UC's applicant for the Rhodes Scholarship Competition
Lindner Honors-PLUS student, Ben Hines was chosen to be UC's applicant for the Rhodes Scholarship Competition for study at Oxford University in England. His proposed degree of study is a Masters of Philosophy in Comparative Social Policy. In this scholarship competition less than one percent of all U.S. applicants are accepted into the program.
