Shortly after graduating from Northern Kentucky University with a Bachelor's degree, Andrew began working for the University of Cincinnati's Undergraduate Admissions Office on April 26, 1993. After recruiting for the University's academic programs at high schools, college fairs, and recruitment events across Ohio, Andrew moved to the College of Pharmacy on January 24, 1997 where he continued to work with admission.
While working in the College of Pharmacy, Andrew continued to develop his interest in technological solutions that support improved work efficiency. He designed, developed, and implemented "RxSIS", the Pharmacy Student Information System used in the College of Pharmacy to manage the entire recruitment and admissions process. A "cradle-to-grave" solution, RxSIS manages students all the way from 'prospective student' status through 'grateful graduate and alumni' status, and everything in-between. Andrew develops "high-tech" solutions that still feel like "high-touch" to the students.
Outside of work, Andrew is a scuba diver with advanced 'rescue diver' certifications (he and wife Wendy are currently working on their first professional scuba certification). Additional interests include food and the culinary arts (Andrew is a certified culinarian, an adjunct culinary instructor at the Midwest Culinary Institute, a part-time kitchen worker at Jean-Robert at Pigall's, and an avid collector of culinary-related books). Rounding out Andrew's interests are travel, humor, music, technology, and pets (the proud 'parent' of 5 cats and 4 dogs, most of whom are 'special needs' animals). |
