Alex Lopes works with online information goods and collaboration technologies. He has done research on evaluation of online content, strategic positioning of firms distributing real time information, the cross-development of face-to-face and online networks, and the effectiveness of IT camps. He is publishing in Information Systems Research, the Journal of Management Information Systems, Information & Management, Communications of the ACM, and several other journals and conferences, including the Academy of Management Meeting (where he received the Best Paper Award in the Academy of Management Meeting / OCIS Division) and the International Conference on Information Systems.
